From my understanding, just one episode of acute pancreatitis can lead to chronic pancreatitis. My son's dog suffers from it, and they have to be very careful of what and when they feed their dog from now on. He's on a special prescription diet, and he needs to eat three smaller meals a day instead of two larger meals. He's doing well on this diet, but there are no forbidden foods ever. |
