With all of the advances in technology, they should come up with a little robot dog. It could save information from its day. Then after a prospective dog owner has the robot dog for a month or so, the information could be reviewed. It could show when it was fed, taken out, played with, crated. Hours could be tallied to see if balance was achieved. Experiences could be rated. For example, was the robot taken to the vet at appropriate times when it exhibited symptoms pre-programmed into it? Did the prospective owner show patience with training? There are all sorts of possibilities!! This would be such a great screening tool! Sort of like in high school when you have to carry the egg or a babydoll around with you for six weeks.
