Or, you could try a pre-made raw (or DIY raw). Since the meat is inclusive of water, it should help as well.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it. If I didn't find raw to be so icky (yes, I know real mature) I'd give him that. He loved Stella and Chewies.
