Oh my goodness...are you sure the vet said Children's TYLENOL??? I've never heard Tylenol being anything but contraindicated in dogs.

Could vet have maybe said Children's Benadryl? Benadryl isn't really for pain, but it can sedate a dog a bit, which can help the dog deal with the pain until further meds are given, at the vet's office.
