I am blessed to have in my life both a mini schnauzer and a Yorkie. Now my schnauzer does have some health issues (so I use raw)...but in terms of a good food for a schnauzer....the most important thing is to look for a good quality food with low-fat. Wellness core reduced fat has been recommended on my schnauzer forum for some dogs. But I'm not sure about a puppy. You might want to suggest another wellness formulation with the aim of less than 12% fat.
