The website owner goes to Korea once a month to pick up dogs. Which makes them a broker... she is purchasing dogs from a breeder, then reselling them. Brokers are also the middlemen that sell puppy mill dogs to the public and pet stores. They are salesmen and profit-driven--they make a living off of misinformed or uneducated buyers. They are not interested in the welfare of the animals or they wouldn't put them through an 11+ hour flight and wouldn't advertise extremely tiny dogs with special needs as "teacup" or "tcup". These are terms only used by unscrupulous breeders and brokers. No reputable breeder would ever use these terms to sell their dogs. They are 100% in it for the money. The website owners operate out of Canada which means In addition dogs are not allowed into Canada to be resold on an individual basis. I am even talking about an average of 20-24 hours in transit. To invest this amount of money into an animal, I personally would go to a very local breeder. Also their is no guarantee that the parents which you never see have been health tested, the puppies are socialized and they are not coming from puppy mills! Please do not support these unscrupulous puppy brokers. These poor puppies cannot get out and stretch their legs on the plane they are in a tiny carrier, under a seat the whole way, peeing on themselves because they can't hold it anymore and they are puppies still, so how could they hold it so long? If she is bringing in two at a time in a cage/crate, that is typically how dogs are transported in the luggage compartment can you imagine how uncomfortable they must be.
Please research how to purchase a puppy from a reputable breeder.
Breeders are not god. They can do their very best job but they cannot create the perfect puppy.
We recommend a reputable breeder because:
1. They are conscientious of the health issues
2. They have researched their lines to know what is being produced
3. They stand behind their puppies when a problem does come up
Any breeder who has been around for a while and says they've never had a health issue is full of it IMO...its not that they breed perfection, its what they do when they have a problem that matters to me. "The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their right names!" | You summed it up well.
