I know exactly what you mean, I'm so in love with Joey. I too have such a hard time reading about members who lose their dogs. It's always a little better, if they have lost their beloved dog to old age, rather than genetic illnesses, and I hope that's true of Joey. I guess that's part of the reason, that I'm an advocate for supporting good breeders those who actually care about the breed, and do testing and know their lines. They are actively involved in breed clubs and know the illnesses affecting the yorkie. I think by supporting these types of breeders we can increase our chances of having a healthy dog that gives us many years of love and companionship. |
