A friend of mine just got a baby mini-Schnauzer (12 weeks old). I recommended that she let the puppy get used to her new surroundings before switching from the breeder's food (Purina Puppy Chow) but I'm wanting to give her suggestions for after that. Tatum eats Wellness Core but I'm wondering if that might be too high in protein for the Schnauzer. She said that she was told that Schnauzers can sometimes have colon issues (I'm pretty sure that's what she said). Is a high protein food bad for that?? Is there a particular food that is recommended for Schnauzers that anyone here might be aware of?
I stopped researching foods a while back when I put Tatum on Wellness Core because she does so well with it.... so forgive me if something like this has been talked to death.
