I used to free feed...but then I had 4 here with three different dietary requirements..free feeding wasn't an option. I have noted that since we have a schedule we seem to be just fine, I was always concerned about schedule feeding leaving them hungry between-they adjust and it has been fine for us.
I got princess at 19 weeks, (I though 12 weeks was the change over age for feeding) I have always scheduled her feedings and it really aided in potty training...she can never free feed she'll gorge...but apparently that's a common issue with mini schnauzers.
I fed breakfast kenneled 20 minutes out side potty walk, training with treats, lunch 20 minutes kennel, outside potty/walk, training treats, dinner 20 minutes kennel outside potty walk.
You can give Karo-in small amounts for hypoglycemia but why if she's not symptomatic or the blood work doesn't show it-watch for it with Yorkies. I know some people put it in water but please don't think of the teeth, use a syringe and drop it down her throat if it is needed.
If she throws up bite I'd be foremost concerned with the common reflux-we went through that here, we use a raised feeder 4" or more for Yorkies, switched to a water bottle instead of bowl and use apple cider vinegar...
