I agree with yorkieusa -- I would not feed ham to my yorkies. Maybe the tiniest little piece once in a blue moon. Ice cream is something to be careful of too. I will give mine a tiny bit of the melted ice cream scraped from the bottom of my bowl but never a whole cup! Too much lactose, which they cannot digest. Instead, buy Frosty Paws -- made for dogs and much like ice cream without the lactose.

Some may say they do this all the time, but it only takes one too many times, and pancreatitis shows its ugly head. I know this all too well as I can eat some things occasionally and then all of a sudden -- WHAM, I am sick as can be on the same food! I have chronic pancreatitis and I can tell you it is one miserable and VERY painful disease. I would not want my yorkies to have to suffer through it. So -- be careful and think about those Frosty Paws desserts made for pups.

BTW my first bout with pancreatitis was triggered by an Easter meal of ham along with a slice of pecan pie. I tend to be very leery of both now.
