Congrats on your new puppy! It's a very exciting but scary time, especially if you're a first time owner.
In regards to your question about the dog park, do not take your puppy there until he has had all his puppy shots. Public places like that are filled with bacteria/parasites/etc that puppies are very vulnerable to. Also, if you choose to take him to pet stores with you (petsmart/petco/etc) do NOT let him walk on the ground. Hold him close to you at all times when you take him out in public since he is still young. Honestly, it would be better if you didn't take him out to public places until he has had all his shots
