Smile Feeding advice please-Should I switch from Wellness Small breed?

I am feeding my dog Wellness Small breed. I have had him for 1 month and he is 3 years old. His breath was very bad when I got him, and it has improved drastically since giving him Wellness.

However, I have 3 concerns.

1.He eats it, but doesnt seem to like it. He eats his kibble when he realizes he isnt getting anything else. I want him to enjoy his food.

2. The kibble is very small. Max is 10 lbs and he sometimes doesnt even chew it-just gulps it down and burps. Sometimes though he does chew.

3. His stool is soft. It appears to be solid, but when I pick it up it is soft/mush. He doesn't have any parasites as I have already had him checked.

Is this enough reason to switch? I am considering trying out Innova Small bites. (not EVO).

I have considered Orijen but I read reviews saying it is too "rich" for some dogs, and I just afraid of making such a change.

Since I have only had him for 1 month-should I continue the Wellness to see if he will adjust to it? Or make the change now?

Any suggestions?=)
Thank you
