If you can't be or have someone home in the beginning I would go for a little older Yorkie maybe 5- 6 months and a little bigger one. The small ones generally need more care initily. Iwould also crate train it in a crate/pen that is large enough to have a bed at one end and a pee pad at the other end if you aren't going to be home for 5-6 hours.
