I recently had my almost 4 year old yorkie spayed. It was the best decision I ever made. Not only are her chances of getting cancers way down, she won't ever get pyometria, and she won't ever have to have the discomfort of going into heat again. not only that, I don't have to worry about her ever getting pregnant, or if someone ever stole her, they could never abuse her by using her as a puppy making machine. Her appetite is much better, feeding times are so easy not, as they were so stressful before. she was so moody while on her heat cycle, and would not eat, would just lay there and not want to do anything.
