I agree with Cathy and Jodi.
It is sad when you hear stories about people who love their dogs and can't afford procedures however this is something people need to think about before they get a dog and fall in love with it.
Before I got either one of my dogs, I made sure I had a credit card, had a savings, etc. that I could use to take care of them. When Chloe was going through her medical problems when I first got her, I sold a few electronics that I didn't need because I didn't want to break into the CC or savings unless I really had to.
