Parasites are very easy to pick up.....from soil, water, or fleas (tapeworms). Tapeworm meds are very tricky when treating pups. If she is able to go out, she can pick them up. It is best to have a fecal performed on a female prior to breeding and after she is bred, making sure that she is kept in very sanitary conditions. Setting aside an area for her to potty during her gestation period and nursing period...an area where no other dogs can access
