Thanks for your sons service. They eat terrific on board ships everyday, and especially today. I still remember the first time I ate in the Officers Wardroom on an LPD as a new Officer. Needless to say, I was impressed.
Oh my! I remember those snowy days in Illinois. I grew up in Indiana and Illinois (near Peoria). I lived up in Northbrook for a while when I was stationed at Glenview. It was cold there but I loved being so close to Chicago. PA was the snowiest we ever had it though. Our very first night living there we got a foot of snow and then close to another foot the next day. I was totally unprepared and a neighbor came with a snowblower and rescued us! Fun times

Yes, Jason says they take pretty good care of him -- he was prior enlisted -- LDO, so he really appreciates the wardroom!
