Congrats on your new addition, how wonderful for the both of you.
My girl will be 2 in Jan. She came home a a well behaved puppy, doesn't jump, only barks a a very strange sound or outside. She is a low keyed, very mellow girl, which actually works for us since my office is in my home.
I believe that has played a big roll in her behavior, she knows our work routine 5 days a week. Plus, I have a mini pin that barked like crazy and I was determined not to encourage barking with Zhoie. Like, I never ask her if she wants her food, etc, which encourages them to bark.
Good luck, but don't worry she will come around and steal your heart before you know it.
