She sounds precious. You are lucky you have found a well-behaved yorkie.

It will take time for her to adjust.

I have two rescues:

My Yorkie, Izze, who came to me at 8 yrs old--was a puppy miller mommy--- and will be 11 this January. She also was abused.

Chachi, my chihuahua, who came to me when he was 11 months old and is now 8. He was abused in his previous home.

It took Chachi a couple of months to adjust and then he became "normal."

Izze, really, it took a long time for her to adjust and she still isn't very interested (she's not fearful, but apathetic) in/towards strangers.
It took her 1.5-2 years to stop circling and to gain confidence to cuddle with my family. It took her a month to learn how to beg and bark and be naughty lol.

I think that it depends on her experiences, her age, and her natural tendencies/personality as to how long it will take for her to get acclimated. Just have plenty of love, patience, and understanding.

Kudos to you for getting a rescue! You'll love her to pieces.
