Default What would you do?

I wanted to let all of you know that my little guy had the ultrasounda nd there were not any stones, so he will not need to have surgery. I was so relieved!
You all have been so wonderful in the past with offering good advice, I have another situation in which I need your help.
I am afraid he is starting to get arthertis. He limps when he first gets up from resting. The cold weather seems to make it worse. Once he gets up and starts moving he seems to be okay.
I briefly discussed it with the Vet's office and they said artheritis meds would involve injections. He is already on 3 different types of to prevent the bladder stones.
He also has a history of pancreatitis and has had some "reactions" to medications in the past. It took the vet several tires to come up with the right mixture of meds and food that worked for him; so now I am really afraid to put him on another medication (to treat the artheritis). I am afraid of upsetting his system and doing anything to bring on another round of pancreatits or doing anything to make the bladder stone problem worse. Am I wrong for not pursuing artheritis medication? I just don't want to do anything to hurt him or cause him more pain. Is it wrong for me to wait and see if this gets better on it's own?
Is there anything that I can do for him when he gets stiff and starts limping that would not involve medicaiton? Can artheritis be life threatening?
Thanks for understanding
