No, there are no tests. An ultra sound prior to breeding can assist you, however, knowing a bitches lines and knowing that she comes from a line of free whelpers is a helpful indicator. Even with that, it doesn't give you insight to the many emergencies that can happen.

Breeding a female to a smaller male is a misnomer in the yorkie breed. Your best indicator again, is knowing the dogs lines. However, the bitch controls the size of the pup while in utero....the size of the pup at birth is by no means an indicator as to what it will be at adult size.

The tests prior to breeding are multiple and costly whether AI or Natural. The tests should be performed on the bitch and stud........

As stated above, before embarking on the breeding journey, find a mentor and emerse yourself in the breed.
