 Yorkie with bladder stones... Need advice on good food.
I've read the messages on how your Yorkies seem to be pickie eaters as well. Tobi has always had issues with food. Does not like dry food, I have to cover it with something else (gravy, mighty dog roasted chicken &beef) and the wet food he won't even eat if it is not a touch warm. Even when I first brought him home the vet had me put him on beef &rice because he would not eat. He is now 6yrs. and overnight at the vets. He had an operation this afternoon where they removed 4 stones from his little bladder. Vet says stones usually come from what they eat which concerns me even more. So what now do I try to feed him. I heard that Royal Canin was good. Is it health wise? I see some of you feed them Caesar. I may try that as well. I find he gets board quick and will not eat the same thing day after day. My husband says he'll eat when he gets hungry enough but Tobi is stubborn he went two days without eating then I gave in. Any help or advise appreciated... I don't want him to end up with stones again. Thanks! |
