Rylie loves her potty patch, but she started with it since day one sooooo not sure how it works for those not used to it. To prevent smell (which I hear can be a problem), we actually put disposable pee pads on top of the fake grass as well as under it. It works very well for us and is easy clean up... just fold it up and throw it out and put another one on top ::shrug:: She's doing really well with potty training imo!
