| Should I introduce Aiko to the family? OKay so at first glance the answer is an obvious YES!!! I would love to, however, Aiko will be about 10.5 weeks at Christmas. My schedule is very crazy for Christmas. I get off work at 3 today and take him to the vet for his shots. Then I need to go to my grandparents and help my mom cook Christmas Eve dinner. I will be over there all day tomorrow as well, until late at night. My boyfriend will be in and out tomorrow going to work around 8:30 and running home to change close quickly prior to lunch from 2-4 for lunch with his family and then back to work until Christmas Eve dinner at my grandparents at night. So I don't want to leave Aiko at home all that time. My grandparents live 20 min from me so I could come home a couple of times through the day I guess. The problem is, when I was growing up they did not allow animals in the house. However, they have gotten better about that since my mom got her rat terrier that she takes everywhere and I got Tocho (my pomeranian) that I take over there all the time. They love Tocho even though sometimes he has accidents in the house. All in all he is pretty good. He just doenst tell me when he needs to go out and sometimes there are little accidents in between. My grandparents like dogs, but they see them as money pits, and are not going to see why my boyfriend got me ANOTHER one for Christmas. They think each person should really only have 1. I want to be respectful of them, but I also just don't think it is right to leave Aiko home alone all dat today and all day tommorow. He's just a baby. Any suggestions on how to break the puppy news to the family? |
