OK. We must have role reversal in our house. I'm the one that he won't let go shopping. Neither the dollar store or the grocery store. Last weekend we went Christmas shopping. He was standing in line and I was still finding bargains around the checkout. He looked at me like a two year old and said "stand right here till I'm done". It was so funny because he's really very indulgent of me normally and doesn't complain about anthing I buy. He doesn't like junk though. He'd rather pay five times as much for something he thinks is quality. I tried explaining to him that Christmas sometimes is about volume as much as quality.
