Welcome to YT and congratulations on your new baby.

Your puppy being 8 weeks is a bit of concern. Way too young to be away from her mother or litter mates. The earliest a yorkie pup should leave it's breeders house is at the minimum of 12 weeks. Mother's do so much training from 8 to 12 weeks of age. Hence the biting would be taken care of her. They teach them how to behave with in a pack. The breeder and the do a lot to insure the puppy is well socialized. A pup at is 8 weeks of age has just been weaned from it's mother, at 8 weeks of age is a very critical time in their life. Also, a pup should never leave a breeders home without a vet check and a minimum of 2 shots; one given between 8 and 10 weeks, and a 2nd between 12 - 13 weeks.

Now as far as your training your pup. You will have to be it's mother, biting is natural instinct and of course there is going to b alot of teeting between now and 5 or 6 months of age....So, whenever the pup attempts to bite you a loud ouch or no by you should aid you stopping that behavior.

Now as far as people food, a big NO. A yorkie's digestive tract is it's biggest downfall. And people foods can lead to pancreatitis.

I hope I've answered your questions and then some. But, if I haven't ask away....we'll try and help you.

Oh! do not take your pup out in public until it's had it's full compliment of shots.
