So the place where I get the pups groomed offers a 'doggie day care'. Thinking maybe I would send Lucy a half day or so a week; I checked it out.

It appears to be two large, separate areas (one for large dogs) with a few beds thrown in; some worn looking toys and just a big free for all.

Looked pretty much like a big kennel with no supervision.

Is this the norm? I'm thinking there is NO WAY Lucy would enjoy that for a half day or even an hour.
