Taffy and CJ big sister a Basset mix named Baby she was 9yrs old. Baby went to Heaven today. She had been lots of pain for a short time for a spinal injury. We had tried lazer treatment for her back a few times in one week and pain meds. to control her pain level. But she wasn't getting better she would just walk around in circles and panted the whole time. This was after giving her her pain meds several hrs. earlier. We came to the decision with the help of our vet that the best thing for her was to let her go. Baby was a Christmas gift from my youngest son a yr after I had open heart surgery. I keep wondering if we did the right thing or not. I couldn't watch her suffer anymore. Our vet said we could put out lots more money but it would come to the same end in a very short time. And it would not of been quality time for her. Please say a little prayer for my dear baby today.
