We had 29 people for Thanksgiving. Eight of them were 8yrs old and under so I laid out the ground rules when they came. No one but my granddaughter could pick up Shadow (she has a small dog of her own and knows how to handle her), no one feed her anything and ask if you want to hold/play with her.
I kept her in her pen in the kitchen when we were eating and it all worked out well. Out of all the children, my granddaughter was the only one that has pets so I was pretty surprised that they did well with Shadow.
I didn't want her loose cause I was worried about her being stepped on. |
