No, he is not missing anything. My understanding is that puppy formulas have additional nutrients or a different balance of nutrients. My previous vet recommended changing to adult food and reducing serving sizes at about 8 months old, when metabolism slows.

I believe Orijen is a great product, as so is Fromm Surf and Turf. My boys are eating the latter right now.
