And, My husband a New York City Police Officer, did not fight in the war but did serve his country, and as a police officer in the worse part of that city certainly saw enough combat, and no the next kill is not any easier. I never mentioned your family, why do you feel the need to? I commend your sons for the tenacity to move up the belt ladder, and your husband for serving as a Cop. That is still a far cry from serving in a combat zone, even in the worst part of the city. I say if he wants a dog, let him have one, with limitations and visits.
