First, you will need to stay outside with him until he goes. Sometimes that will be a long while, but if you bring him back in before he goes, you will be guaranteed that he will potty inside. Before you take him out, ask him if he needs to go potty (at this stage he may not understand but will later). Take him out and tell him to go potty. If you have a fenced yard, then just stay out with him and keep telling him to go potty until he goes and after he does go, make a big deal of it and praise, praise, praise him. Let him know how pleased you are. You can also give him a tiny treat each time such as a cheerio or a tiny piece of cheese.

Also, has your little guy already been neutered? If not, you need to have that done. Has he been checked out by your vet yet? Please do so this week.
