Ew, people really do that? It just seems so basic - if someone has a dog and they have a rule about the dog, e.g. don't feed table scraps, don't let them jump up, whatever, um, DUH, respect that rule. The owner has to live with the dog, not you. Totally disrespectful and passive aggressive to willfully ignore the request of a pet owner, but ESPECIALLY a holiday host. WTF. You're not one of THOSE parents, you're a rational human being who has a well behaved and healthy dog. Gotta love people... *eyeroll*
