It is true that KC can take a while to get over -just like when we get an upper respiratory infection. Even though it can take a long time, I'd be getting a second opinion. They can also do a tracheobronchial wash to see what the fluid sample reveals - but I have rejected this procedure in the past when Barney has had KC and he's had it a couple of times because I was more worried about the tube down his throat. I would rather do a chest x-ray and a 2nd round of antibiotics but probably would be complaining about amoxicillin as the medication of choice.
