the vet will tell you this when you pick him up. Usually they have you feed a small amount the night after surgery to make sure he holds everything down fine and then resume normal food the next day. Depending on how many teeth were pulled and how tightly they were in there, they may tell you to feed him soft food for a few days (either kibble softened with water or canned food).
