Oh, I am SO sorry. Tell your mother she is not to blame. Sadly these things do happen sometimes.
It sounds like she is getting great care. I do hope that since she is eating well and moving about, perhaps the wound might begin to heal.
I will keep her and all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Very traumatic for all.
