Sorry to hear that -- Parvo is serious, as you must already know if you just nursed another through it over Easter. Parvo virus can live for many months outside of a host -- it can be in their beds, toys, food containers, even the ground outside! Washing everything down inside your house with bleach water can help. I would get rid of most of the toys unless you can clean then well with bleach water, same with beds. I have even read where they recommended using a diluted bleach water on your yard! Might kill the grass though.

Best is just not to bring a dog home unless it is fully immunized against PARVO. It usually takes 7 - 10 days from exposure to symptoms so your little Corgi was probably exposed to it before you brought him home but.... the timing is questionable as symptoms could have shown a little early and it could be from exposure at your home. Possible.

Adult dogs can actually be carriers and show no symptoms at all although they are the ones spreading it to younger ones whose immunity is not full yet. Hopefully Milli is just well vacinated and not a carrier.

Wish your little Corgi the best! They can work miracles. Years ago we got a dog from the pound that came down with Parvo in the first few days even tho he had been given a vaccine. It cost us a bundle but we saved him, thanks to some transfusions from a boxer. We used to laugh and tell people he was part boxer. Looked nothing like one but he had that blood.
