I give Belle treats for training and going potty. I buy the Canine Carryouts in the plain beef flavor. She's never had any problem with them. Belle also gets crated at least once a day and at night. I have RA and Fibromyalgia so I usually lay down for a while in the afternoon. She didn't always want to go in the crate but I was consistant. I pick her up and cuddle her and tell her how much mommy loves her and what a good girl she is and put her in the kennel. She has her teddy bear that stays in there and her blankets. I never started giving her treats for crating and she knows our routine now so no problems. I think treats are great but sometimes they need to do things just for praise. Good luck.
I forgot to add that the canine carryouts are kind of large so I slice them up into a container (I use a urine spec jar that followed me home from the hospital I worked at
a clean one) I get about 4 pieces out of one treat so they last quite a while.
