But now you say you want a mentor for showing? If you really want a puppy for showing and that's what the mentor is for then why wouldn't you be looking for a show quality puppy? |
Sorry, I did not mean to be confusing. For my first puppy, I know that no one will let me have a Show dog off the bat, so I am ok with a good pet quality while I search for a Mentor. I signed up for the Mentor/Mentee program through AKC but I highly doubt I will find one locally. In the mean time, I would like to get a puppy to "practice" on, like grooming, conformation, training, ect. Does that make a little more sense?
