I begged my hubby for a Yorkie, and he said not until we bought our first home. It took me about 6 months after we moved in to get Baxter. I begged for another one, and he said no, but I got Cooper anyway. He rescued Darcy.

I think one of the cutest things is when he is laying on the sofa watching football or something, he will reach down, scoop one of them up and cuddle with them. Then he talks to me thru them..ex: "Tell Mama you want a treat", or "Tell Mama it is time to go to bed"

The pups made us a family instead of just a couple, it is sweet!
Your story is similar to mine
I grew up with dogs. We always had a dog in our family. My boyfriend never had a dog growing up, just cats. After we moved out of our parents homes, I was really missing having a dog. We lived in a couple apartments, and rented a house, all with no pets allowed. Of course it was okay if they were caged, small animals. The first year we lived with friends, and in our apartment (between us and our friends) we had a bunny, hamster, guinea pig, and ferret. I wanted a dog so bad, and we rented a house for 7 years. We asked a couple times, and it was always no dogs That's how I ended up with 4 chinchillas.
Finally my boyfriend decided it was time to buy a house. As soon as we started looking at houses, I started researching what dog breed would be best for us. I wanted a little dog, and we didn't want to deal with pet hair. I narrowed down my list, and started looking more into each breed. That's when I found yorkietalk. I fell in love with them, and just knew that I had to have one. The stories about their personalities, the pictures, there was no more researching dog breeds after that

We signed on the house at the end of April last year. We weren't even unpacked yet before I started asking him if we could have a dog. He told me he wanted a dog about the size of my dad's dog (he's about 17lbs). I told him yorkies only get to 7lbs, but some get bigger. He said okay, as long as it's 15lbs. I started talking to a breeder, and she had a bigger puppy available for deposit. We thought he would get to about 8lbs. I put a deposit on him in May, and we picked him up in June. He had a big growth spurt between 8 and 10 weeks, so when we got him he was 5lbs at 11 weeks He is a year and a half, and 15lbs. We are so happy with our big guy. I convinced him to get another just last May. He wasn't wanting another until I told him our breeder had a litter. Then it was okay I told him I won't ask for another for 5 years.
