(1) Would the same outrage be shown if this was not a member? Well more than likely no, if this was just some random Joe they would not have been able to come on here to defend themselves. So it is found out that she is a member does that give her a pass? No, but she came on to explain and changed her add not to mention that she is sick. So taking all that into consideration I feel that it could have been handled a little better.
(2) Just because someone does not post a lot does not mean that they don’t come on to read from time to time. It’s not unthinkable that she just happened to log in and see this thread .
(3) I see a lot of the times people will post “sorry to hear about that , but” it’s hard to feel like compassion is being shown when you have a stick behind your back.
(4) Do we know that this lady is actually sick? No, but we don’t know that she is not either. It’s easy to show love to our furry friends because they will always love us no questions asked. Animals have a simple honesty....they remind you of how life is without all the complications! Why is it so hard to show that love to our fellow man? Man is complicated, flawed and hard to love at times but we must try to show compassion. |
