I just thought I would report back what a great time Cathy and I had last night with our husbands out on the town~Downtown Chicago.
Cathy was so sweet and even gave me a goody bag of presents. It even a little something for my babies. The city looked beautiful with all of the holiday lights everywhere and was full of Christmas shoppers.
We headed off to Uncle Julio's Hacienda with my husband as our designated driver for the evening. They served the most AMAZING margaritas that were swirled with Sangria!
Boy after a couple of drinks, lots of laugh and even a little YT during dinner we decided to hang out a little longer. After several of those yummy margaritas we made our way to the car (more like staggered but don't tell anyone
) and Tom drove around the city so we could look at the light and the lakefront.
Just beautiful. There really is nothing like Christmas in Chicago.
We stopped by the museum campus near Soldiers Field to take a quick picture and almost immediately one of Chicago's finest was telling us to move along with his spot light.
You aren't having fun on a night out unless there is police involvement.
Then we went back to their hotel and had dessert, coffee and most laughs. Our evening together ended with a jump~~to my car's dead battery.
The valet from Uncle Julio's had turned the headlight on my car from AUTO to ON and we didn't realize it. When Tom when to pick up the car the battery was dead and the car would not start!
So Cathy and Dave got to see the angry Tom
Thank god that the valet at the hotel had a portable jump and was able to lend a hand to get the battery going.
I had a wonderful birthday and it was a pleasure to have spent it with Cathy and Dave. Cathy you are a total sweetheart and so much fun. It's so nice to meet and make friend with such a nice person. I can't wait to do it again!
