JMO but I don't think ANY food sold in a grocery store is a good quality food. I was happy with Royal Canin and they make a formula especially for yorkies. I would stick with the lower protein foods. Some dogs tolerate and do well on the high protein foods, but many cannot tolerate them.
It might be more convenient to buy it at the grocery store, but if it is a better quality food the trip to petsmart would be worth it.
Now don't get me wrong, many dogs have live long healthy lives on Purina dog chow. But I think yorkies do better on better foods.
