I forgot to say. We looked at a family that had yorkies a few years ago. they said the breed bc the love the breed, and while I don't doubt that they love the breed, they were doing nothing to improve the breed, in fact they were helping destroy it. They were breeding their bitch who was about 10 lbs (over standard) was completely gold (not to standard), and were studding out their male, who they kept locked in another room bc he was aggressive (!) How can we see this and believe them? yes they were nice, and yes we too stayed in their home (a nice one at that) for about an hour. They were charging $1500 for their pups, and they were BIG. they were about 12 weeks old and running up and down the stairs like pros already. Barking too. Uni didn't bark until she was 4 1/2 months old. I still wonder if they were able to sell all their pups, the bitch had seven of them.
