I always recommend the YTCA referral list. The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America is the mother club for Yorkies, and AKC is the registry that they use.

I should have read the rest of the thread before I posted. I recommend you calling a breeder, and asking her if this is a good time to speak. Set up an appointment for a future call if she's busy. You can learn so much!
