I would be concerned that your vet didn't suggest to have her retained puppy teeth removed. Yorkies have a predisposition to periodontal disease and owners need to pay very close attention to this issue. There is no reason if after proper blood work and the knowledge of a veterinarian that specializes in small dog that you cannot both have her spayed and her retain teeth removed. My opinion would be this~although you do not plan on breeding her you never know what might happen. She could be lost or stolen for the purchase of breeding. I have read stories about Yorkies that have disappeared and would never want to take that chance one of mine could be used for nefarious purposes. Also, periodontal disease can lead to tooth lose and life threatening issues. Please reconsider both a spay and attention to her teeth. Good luck
