I showed a few pugs over 15 years ago. I would only buy from a knowledgable breeder/exhibitor. One that has been "in the breed" for many years. I love the breed! They are very active and comical! they love to play and are good with Yorkies. They do have some of the same health problems as Yorkies, like loose patellas. My biggest health concern is PUG DOG ENCEPHALITIS! It is a heartbreaker and is fatal. Back when I had mine, there was no test to tell if your dog had this nasty condition. It can show up in any line. I do not know if there is a test for it now. There possibly could be and I hope that there is.
