I think you're doing the right thing. You have had him to the vet a couple of times. And, he's been on more than one medication so far. Get the x-ray and whatever blood work your Vet wants now. That may help him come up with a more definitive diagnosis.

Also - if you're worried about the treatment he has been given so far, just visit another vet and let him know everything that has been done so far. He will probably agree with the first vet, but you never know. He may have had more experience with this particular problem or have run across something recently regarding this sort of problem.

My husband was a physician and I have worked in the medical profession for more than 30 years. I can tell you for certain that often very good doctors treat patients differently or have had experiences that other doctors have not had.

I sure hope your little puppy gets 100% well.
