It does sound like a hypoglycemic attack....since the vet told you to use Karo syrup.

One of my dogs was diabetic, and I was told that if she ever acted the way you described your dog behaving -- to smear Karo syrup inside her mouth.
And - she did have an episode one time and after using the Karo syrup, she was back to normal in just a minute or two.

Hopefully, it will never happen again. But, do have the Karo syrup near by in case you need to use it. And, if you have several recurrent episodes - you should probably take her back to the vet just to doublecheck everything again.

I don't know about this (check with your vet). I read that one person gives her dog a teaspoon of Karo syrup every day - this might help keep your dog from having this problem in the future.

Boy - if I put Karo syrup on my dog's food - he'd love it.
