You can do it a couple of ways. Some of the tests you can do at your vet. There are vet clinics at some shows that do some of the certifications which can save money and benefit clubs. I've seen board certified Drs doing them. I don't think it's a req for every single test, yet it's a good idea to go w/ a board cert DVM. Either way, all of the tests take time to complete. So start planning now. So by the time he's a year you will know what you need to start testing. The hips aren't done at shows.
You may want to seek the best of the best for each specialty in medicine. Either way, all of this takes time. Each breed different breed specific tests for them. Your results will become public. If you don't have a perfect score on anything, it's fine. Just doing it.
